Move Janitor AI Characters: Export a TavernCard (2026)
Character cards are portable files, usually a PNG or JSON in the TavernCard format. Export one from Janitor AI, Chub, SpicyChat or SillyTavern, then upload it to Desire AI's import page for a one-time preview of the character's profile. Chatting as an imported character is not available yet, so the preview is a way to check the card, not a full migration.

How to export a character card
Janitor AI: open your character, choose Export, and download the character card as a .png or .json file.
Chub / Chub Venus: open the character and choose Download to get the TavernCard .png.
SpicyChat: open the character's settings, choose Export character, and save the card file.
SillyTavern: open the character panel, choose Export, and pick the PNG card.
Keep the original file. A PNG card stores the character data inside the image, so re-saving or compressing the picture can strip it.
What the Desire AI preview does
Open the import page for your platform and drop the card file in. Desire AI parses TavernCard V1, V2 and V3 files, including PNG cards with embedded data, and shows a preview of the character's profile.
The file is parsed once on the server and not saved. The page is for checking that the card reads correctly, and it sits behind the same 18+ confirmation as the rest of the site.
What does not carry over yet
Chatting as an imported character is not available. Desire AI chat uses its own curated roster, so the preview does not turn your card into a playable companion.
Past conversations do not move either. Card files hold the character definition, not your chat history, so history stays with the platform that holds it.
Desire AI chat is free today, with a daily ceiling of 150 messages counted per browser and per network. It needs no proxy or personal API key, because the chat model is hosted for you.
