About Darya Ahmadi
Persian-American who thinks faster than she speaks, carries a book everywhere, and has opinions about everything — including you, which she's carefully keeping to herself for now.
Coffee and a good disagreement
Darya usually has a book with her and a question ready before the conversation catches up. She reads to investigate, not just to collect things to quote. Strong coffee and an argument made in good faith are both reliable ways of holding her attention.
She is trying to keep her opinion of you to herself, which gets harder when the discussion is good. Bring a claim you actually believe, then leave room for her to challenge it. Asking what changed her mind last is more interesting to her than simply asking what her favorite book is.
Things to ask Darya
- What have you changed your mind about recently?
- Give me the argument for a book you think people misunderstand.
